WILDLIFE ENTHUSIASM
IS US
We have been planning wildlife trips since 2001. We have traveled extensively around the globe, in about 20 countries, where we have enjoyed interesting and exciting wildlife sightings.
We offer a variety of ways to find and track animals in the wild.
In safari vehicles, in canoes, in a hot air balloon, on foot and more.
Our goal is to support your desire to observe, learn and enjoy wildlife in their natural environment.
We create partnerships with guides, safari operators, naturalists, scientists and logistics companies, all over the world, in the top rated national parks and wildlife reserves, as well as in small and intimate villages. Together with these partners, we plan diverse and interesting wildlife trips both as a main theme and as part of a vacation.
We offer a wide variety of accommodation types and accommodation levels, but we focus on quality accommodation close to where the wild animals live.
We plan trips according to the customer's wishes, and organize the perfect vacation for wildlife enthusiasts who are interested in observing a specific animal, and for customers who are interested in a unique experience as part of their vacation.
We believe in nature conservation and are actively engaged in it. We believe that the key to preserving wildlife in their natural environment is cooperation with local communitie. Therefore, we work exclusively with local suppliers and service providers.
We believe that knowledge leads to awareness, and awareness contributes to the conservation of nature and wildlife. That's why we cater for every age group in every field of interest.
ENVIRONMENTAL PACT
Beyond creating the optimal conditions, which allow you to observe wild animals in their natural environment, our goal is to leave every place we leave in a better condition than it was before we arrived.
With the expansion of modern tourism to almost every corner of the planet, We in the tourism industry, and you, as a tourist have a significant role in preserving natural resources, preserving wild animals and their natural environment, preserving local cultures, and improving the living conditions of the local populations in the countries we visit.
The difference between sustainable and responsible tourism and destructive tourism is a matter of conscious choice.
Choosing between mode of travel that works in cooperation with the local population, while respecting local cultural values and preserving local nature over one that ignores nature conservation and support for local communities. A choice between tourism that strives to leave the lowest possible environmental footprint, and wasteful tourism that excessively consumes natural resources.
Since each trip is different, and each trip has a different level of contribution or even harm potential, we examine each trip holistically, in order to ensure that our trips will have an overall positive impact on the environment.
For this purpose, we formulated a mechanism that guarantees the existence of all our trips in the most responsible and environmental way.
The mechanism includes five categories that best reflect the worldview of "Safari World":
Degree of friendliness to the atmosphere:
Atmosphere-friendly trips are trips in which the car is used minimally. The exhaust gases of the vehicles, and especially of the safari vehicles, cause significant damage to the atmosphere, and contribute to the creation of greenhouse gases.
We encourage trips that combine trekking, bicycle trips, boating and more, in order to reduce the use of polluting vehicles to the greatest extent.
Since there are trips in which the use of the vehicle is an integral part of the nature of the trip, we make sure to create a compensation mechanism, which strengthens the following categories in the list.
For example, if we take a trip, most of which takes place in a safari vehicle, the percentage of contribution to the community or environmental organizations from the trip's income will be the highest in relation to other trips, in exactly the same way that if we pick up a bottle that is thrown into a stream, we will also pick up the one next to it.
The degree of friendliness to wildlife populations and their habitats:
Since most of our trips deal with the observation of wild animals in their natural environment, it is our duty to ensure that all our trips are carried out while strictly preserving nature and observing local environmental laws, and in many cases even beyond that.
The companies we work with and the guides we employ are committed to the issue of preserving nature absolutely, and without compromise.
Degree of impact on the local community:
On our trips we encourage cultural exchanges with the local communities.
We encourage meetings in markets, on the road, on various sites and more.
The local guide who will accompany you on each of our trips, is an excellent ambassador who will expose you to the local customs and their lifestyles, and you, take it upon yourself to be excellent ambassadors for our culture and customs.
Remember that the cultural and emotional baggage you take home at the end of the trip is the same as the cultural and emotional baggage your guide or anyone else you meet takes to his home and family.
The local advantage:
“Safari World” places great emphasis on purchasing most of its services from local institutions and businesses.
Over 60% of the cost of the trip goes directly to local communities for the purpose of improving their living conditions and prosperity.
This number has no equal in the entire foreign tourism industry, and we are very proud of it!
Change for the better:
The change for the better category deals with direct financial contributions to local communities, nature conservation projects and various environmental studies.
Every year we choose a project that receives a financial contribution from us, based on the income from that year.
The fact that each and every trip is examined according to the above five categories, assures you that you have chosen responsible tourism and that you are part of a great and real effort to preserve nature, cultural enrichment and support of local communities.
